Trainer Talk Local Midlands

If you're a freelance trainer in the Midlands area come and join us for a morning of business and self development at our Trainer Talk Local event.

This event is run by our East Midlands Local Leader (Karen Cureton) and our Staffordshire Local Leader (Susannah Simmons).

What Is Trainer Talk?

Trainer Talk is a membership community for freelance trainers, a one-stop shop for business growth. We attract trainers who are serious about growing their business with the support of like minded people who are usually experiencing the same challenges! Freelance training can be lonely. It needn't be!

Trainer Talk Locals are fun, friendly, collaborative and inspiring events which we run at various locations across the UK.

A Local is a great opportunity to:

• Connect with other freelance trainers in your area

• Discuss your business challenges - and get solutions from people who understand!

• Learn something new which will help you get more clients or improve your delivery skills

• Get access to opportunities

• Get help and support to grow your business

Our attendees love spending time with people who “get” what they do, the challenges, the excitement and the struggles. Being in a safe place to share ideas and help problem solve has been a big motivator to come again.

Susannah Simmons

Hi! I’m Susannah - your Trainer Talk Local Leader for Staffordshire and Midlands

I have a portfolio career which includes helping software companies turn new customers into loyal customers as The Software Adoption Doctor and helping people feel forever fit & fabulous as the Feel Good Fitness Coach.

I first left corporate life in 2013 without a plan and followed some well meant, expensive advice. In 2016, I took a part time job to supplement my income and rescue my mental health.

In 2016, I decided to make my businesses my focus but knew I needed a great support network of people who really understood the highs and lows of freelance life.

That’s when I found Sharon and the Trainer Talk community and I wouldn’t be without it.

When I am not working I will normally be spending time with my husband (Dom) and teenage daughter (Harriet).

You will normally find us either out enjoying a delicious meal, cocktails and wine (Mocktails for Harriet of course) or at home watching the latest movies and series on Netflix or Disney+. To unwind on my own I like to walk and read (not at the same time).

Hello! Karen here - your Trainer Talk Local Leader for the East Midlands and Midlands.

I’ve been a member of Trainer Talk since 2019 and a Trainer Talk Local Leader since 2020.

I went full time freelance in 2012 and work with businesses and individuals to help them achieve improved results from their social media activity. I also work with organisations to improve customer experience through sales training.
