Social Media for the Construction Industry

This training session will give attendees a strong understanding of the latest changes in social media as well as the popularity of social media channels to help them find an exciting mix for their business. The session will guide attendees through creating content and developing content calendars to streamline all posts and work in advance. Activities will be included throughout the training so attendees can apply this knowledge directly to their own organisation.

Who should attend?

This session is for Business Owners, Marketing Managers, Marketing Executives and Brand Managers who would like to use more social media in their construction business. You should have some prior knowledge of social media before attending this session and it is expected that your business will be using one or more social media channels already. This interactive session will educate attendees about the social media channels that they should be investing in, the kinds of content to create and how to run ads to reach the potential customers that matter the most. There will be a short Q&A at the end of the session as well as interactive elements throughout.

It is advisable to bring a laptop, tablet or mobile phone to take part in the real time activities throughout the session.

Trainer Overview:

Emma O’Donnell is an accomplished digital marketing trainer and a Lecturer in Strategic Marketing at Ulster University. Emma is an accredited trainer partner at Google across the Google Digital Academy where she has trained Adidas, Nivea, Electrolux, Vodafone, Sanofi, KLM, Aer Lingus and Bank of Ireland to name just a few. Emma is a Certified Digital Marketing Specialist in Search and is a Facebook Certified Digital Marketing Associate.

Emma has delivered her own Social Media workshops and webinars for a range of private companies including Arts Council of Ireland, Keystone Lintels, Tobermore, Graham Group and various local councils.

Emma works closely with SMEs, start-ups, brands and agencies as a digital consultant and mentor. Emma has mentored over 500 businesses in digital marketing to date.
