Spokane Mindfulness Meditation Community is a group dedicated to the development of lovingkindness, compassion, joy and equanimity in all sentient beings. We intend to do this by supporting and creating opportunities for mindfulness meditation in Spokane for practitioners of all levels of experience. We aspire to develop a lively community of contemplatives and foster each person's practice. The group is non-sectarian, open to contemplatives of all traditions. We intend to put on retreats, bring in meditation teachers from outside Spokane and have weekly in person meditation classes when conditions permit.The teachings supported by this group will be primarily Buddhist, but not exclusively.
